A painting for the "Moon Lady"

The Painting for Constance is finished. I just hope that she likes it. It was, upon her request, supposed to reflect a bird and a full moon.
What a symbolic theme for Constance who is sensitive, bright, warm and full of creativity, like a full, flowing moon.
It is fun to have friends on the internet. How amazing to be in touch with like minds in all corners of the earth. Contrary to my previous belief, Constnance does not live in California, but in New Jersey! I should have known, it is indicated on her blog.

Dear Erla,
What a perfect surprise this morning!
Such beauty you captured in this lovely painting of the sweet little bird perched on a branch and the glow of the shining moon so BIG and BRIGHT! and the mysterious sky.

Thank you, thank you.
I love the painting and it will be part of my inspiration wall in my studio.

Erla! Your painting is stunning! and totally in tune with how I imagine Constance to be! I love the atmostpheric background and the silhouette nature of the branches and bird... I hope your move goes smoothly and safely... I will be thinking of you!
Hugs and kisses...

This is such a beautiful painting. I went to see your photo stream at Flickr's, love the children's book illustrations (I recognized them *g*) and wished I would have met you earlier to see your own paintings. If you have left any in Vienna, my email is la_merisi(at)yahoo(dot)com. ;-)

So beautiful,
the moon radiates right into my room!!! That is how I think of Constance, as a full moon giving light to treasures below!
Your drawings are so lovely...

What a gorgoues piece of art- love the mood, and the soft, subtle sky. I like it that you didn't go for the obvious and paint the sky a deep blue- this is luminous. Great stuff!
